Walk Safely to School

Walk Safely to School Day 2015
Last Friday,  141 people from St George State School participated in National Walk Safely to School Day 2015.  This event promotes the health benefits of walking and assists students in developing the vital road safety skills they will need as they become mature pedestrians.  Students who took part in this event went into a draw to win three packs including water bottles, hats and a tuckshop voucher.  Winners of the packs were Malaki Woodbridge, Chloe-Lee Lawson and Jaleah Turnbull.  A special mention must go to all the community members who assisted in walking the students  - St George Police, Care Balonne, Sport and Recreation  and of course parents.   It was the biggest turnout we have had and we would like to thank all students, staff and parents who helped make the event so successful.
